Dubai airport to the Marina JBR and the Palm.

Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence and Palm Jumeirah sit at the far end of the city from Dubai International — roughly 35 kilometres down Sheikh Zayed Road. Universal Airport Transfer books the run ahead with a named chauffeur and your flight tracked, quoted in full before you pay, so the busiest road in Dubai costs you time and never money.

At a glance

What you get on the airport to Marina run

  • Roughly 33 to 36 kilometres from Dubai International, almost all of it on Sheikh Zayed Road.
  • Thirty to forty minutes when the road is clear, and beyond fifty at peak.
  • One quote for the whole journey, usually within two hours, with tolls and any late-night, public holiday or short-notice charges in it.
  • Your chauffeur waits 30 minutes from your flight’s actual arrival time.
  • No meter and no surge: the price is fixed once you pay, whatever Sheikh Zayed Road does.
  • Four vehicle classes, from sedan to van — worth choosing properly for a beach holiday’s luggage.

Price

What your quote depends on

Every journey is quoted on its own rather than sold from a price list, so the figure you receive is for your booking and not an estimate that changes later. These are the things that move it — and once you accept the quote and pay, the price is fixed.

Which of the three Marina and JBR sit together. A Palm Jumeirah address, especially along a frond, is a longer arrival.
Which airport Al Maktoum (DWC) is nearer this end of the city than Dubai International is.
The hour you land Late-night, public holiday and short-notice arrivals can carry a charge, named before you pay.
Holiday luggage Beach trips travel heavy — the vehicle class follows the bags as much as the passengers.

The journey

Dubai airport to the Marina end, end to end

It is one road most of the way, and which hour you travel matters more than the distance does.

01

Before you land

Your flight is tracked and a chauffeur is assigned to your booking, timed to your actual landing rather than the schedule.

02

Meeting your chauffeur

Your confirmation voucher carries the chauffeur’s name, the vehicle and the meeting point for your terminal. Waiting runs 30 minutes from the moment you land, and the baggage belt counts towards it.

03

Sheikh Zayed Road

The route leaves Dubai International and runs the length of Sheikh Zayed Road, past the downtown towers and on towards the Marina. It is the busiest road in the city and the single thing that decides how long the journey takes.

04

The drive

Thirty to forty minutes when the road is moving. In the evening peak the same drive can pass fifty minutes. Your price was fixed when you paid, so a slow road costs you nothing extra.

05

Arriving

Marina and JBR are a straightforward exit off the highway. Palm Jumeirah is not: the island is reached by one trunk road, and the fronds are long, so an address near the far end is a real drive after you have left the motorway.

The three areas, and how they differ

Dubai Marina The tower district around the marina itself, dense with apartment buildings and hotels. Most addresses are a short run off Sheikh Zayed Road.
JBR Jumeirah Beach Residence sits on the beach side of the Marina, along The Walk. It is adjacent to the Marina and reached the same way.
Palm Jumeirah An island, not a district. One trunk road serves it and the fronds branch from that, so allow extra time for an address out along a frond or on the crescent.

Give us the building name as well as the area. Marina and JBR addresses look alike from the highway, and on the Palm the frond is the difference between a short arrival and a long one.

DXB

Dubai International Airport (DXB)

Nearly every arrival heading for the Marina side lands at Dubai International, on the opposite side of the city. Send your flight number with the request: the flight is tracked, and the 30 minutes of waiting runs from when you actually land.

DWC

Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC)

Arriving at Al Maktoum International (DWC) instead? It sits south-west of the city at Jebel Ali, which puts it closer to the Marina end than Dubai International does. It is quoted the same way.

Questions

Dubai airport to Marina questions

How far is Dubai Marina from Dubai airport?

Roughly 33 to 36 kilometres by road, almost all of it on Sheikh Zayed Road. In clear traffic that is about thirty to forty minutes; in the evening peak it can pass fifty.

How long does it take to get from DXB to JBR?

The same journey as the Marina — JBR sits on the beach side of it and is reached the same way, so allow thirty to forty minutes in ordinary traffic and longer at peak.

Is Palm Jumeirah further than the Marina?

In distance, not by much. In time, often yes: the Palm is an island served by a single trunk road, and the fronds are long, so an address near the end of one adds a real drive after you leave the motorway.

Does the price go up if we hit traffic?

No. The price is fixed when you pay. There is no meter and no surge, whatever Sheikh Zayed Road is doing that evening.

Can you collect us from Al Maktoum (DWC) instead?

Yes. Al Maktoum is south-west of the city at Jebel Ali, which is actually closer to the Marina end than Dubai International, and it is quoted on the same terms.

What happens if our flight is delayed?

Nothing on your side. The flight is tracked, the pickup moves with it, and the 30-minute wait starts from the time you actually land.

Waiting time, changes, cancellations and refunds are set out in full in our Terms & Conditions.
