Every journey is quoted on its own rather than sold from a price list, so the figure you receive is for your booking. These are the things that move it. Nothing is charged until you accept the quote. Tolls, where they apply, are either included in it or shown in it as an additional charge, and heavy traffic does not change the quoted price.
The journey
It is one main road most of the way, and the hour you travel matters more than the distance does.
Your flight number goes in the request. The flight is tracked, so the pickup follows the real arrival rather than the timetable.
Your chauffeur is named before pickup, and the booking desk tells you where to meet. The 30 minutes of waiting count from your flight’s actual arrival time, so passport control and the baggage belt come out of them. Keep your phone on in case the desk needs to reach you.
From the airport the route heads across the city to Sheikh Zayed Road and follows it south-west past the Downtown towers, with the metro’s Red Line running beside it for much of the way. It is the city’s main artery, and the traffic on it decides the journey time.
Allow 30 to 40 minutes when the road is moving; the morning and evening rush makes it longer. The quote is based on the journey you requested rather than the time the road takes.
The Marina and JBR are a short run from their exits. The Palm has its own turn-off a little earlier, and the island reaches about five kilometres out to sea: cars go up the trunk, roads to the fronds lead off it partway along, and a tunnel under the water at its tip takes you to the crescent.
Where you are going
The first four are at this end of the coast; the fifth, Jumeirah itself, is a separate district nearer Downtown. Give us the building name as well as the area: Marina and JBR towers look alike from the highway, and on the Palm the frond or the crescent is the difference between a short arrival and a long one.
Apartment and hotel towers built around an artificial canal that runs along about three kilometres of shoreline, with the Red Line’s Sobha Realty and DMCC stations (the former Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Lakes Towers stations) on Sheikh Zayed Road at its inland edge. Jumeirah Lakes Towers adjoins it, a separate district with its own towers and addresses.
Jumeirah Beach Residence is a 1.7 km line of 40 towers on the beach side of the Marina, with The Walk at street level. It is reached by the same exits as the Marina.
The trunk is the island’s central spine of apartments, hotels and shops, entered from the mainland at the foot of the island. The fronds are gated villa communities reached by roads that lead off the trunk, so give the frond and the villa number.
The outer ring of beachfront resorts and residences, reached by driving the length of the trunk and through the tunnel at its tip. Tell us the building and which side of the crescent it is on.
A coastal district of mostly low-rise villas and hotels, split into Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3, a few kilometres from Downtown and far from the Marina. If an address says only Jumeirah, check it before you book.
DXB
Dubai International sits in Al Garhoud, on the eastern side of the city, which puts it at the opposite end of Dubai from the Marina. Send your flight number and terminal with the request, so the booking desk can tell you where to meet.

About 35 kilometres by road from Dubai International, most of it on Sheikh Zayed Road. With the road clear that is usually 30 to 40 minutes; at rush hour it takes longer, depending on traffic.
Yes. The Red Line runs from its stations at Terminals 1 and 3 to the Marina stations, Sobha Realty and DMCC, with no change of train; Terminal 2 has no station. It stops short of your door: for the Marina and JBR you finish on foot or on the tram, and for the Palm by taxi, or by tram to the Palm Monorail at the foot of the island. Trains run from 5am (8am on Sundays) until midnight, or 1am on Friday nights, and each passenger may carry two pieces, hand luggage included: one large and one small suitcase within RTA size limits.
Usually 30 to 40 minutes in ordinary traffic, and more at peak. JBR sits on the beach side of the Marina and uses the same exits from Sheikh Zayed Road.
No. Jumeirah is a coastal district of low-rise homes and hotels, divided into Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3, much nearer Downtown and the older city. JBR is Jumeirah Beach Residence, a strip of 40 towers on the beach beside Dubai Marina, near the far end of the city from Dubai International. Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Jumeirah Village Circle are different places again, so send the full address with your request.
A little further in distance, and often noticeably longer in time. The trunk is reached from its own turn-off on Sheikh Zayed Road, the fronds branch off the trunk, and the crescent lies beyond the tunnel at the far end, so an address on a frond or the crescent adds a real drive after you leave the motorway.
