Bengaluru · BLR · Kempegowda International

Bangalore airport taxi and transfer BLR, pre-booked and private.

A private car from Kempegowda International (BLR) to any address in Bengaluru, or on to Mysuru, with a named chauffeur, your flight tracked and a full quote before you pay.

Nothing is charged until you accept the quote.

At a glance

What you get with a Bengaluru airport transfer

Kempegowda International sits near Devanahalli, about 35 km north of central Bengaluru, and most addresses lie well to its south: the usual way in runs down NH 44 and over the Hebbal flyover, while Whitefield and the eastern tech parks are reached by heading east. Every international flight uses Terminal 2. Universal Airport Transfer books the car and a named chauffeur for the run to your hotel, home or office, tracks your flight and sends a full quote before you pay, with any late-night or short-notice charge already in it and any toll either included or listed separately.

  • Your chauffeur waits 30 minutes from your flight’s actual arrival time.
  • A full quote before you pay, usually within two hours, reflecting distance, vehicle class, add-ons and any late-night, public holiday or short-notice charges.
  • Pay online by secure payment link or bank transfer, and your booking is confirmed once paid. The NH 44 toll at Sadahalli, where your route passes it, is either included in the quote or shown in it as an additional charge, and waiting beyond the included time may carry a charge.
  • Changes and cancellations up to 48 hours before your flight under the standard policy, less any costs already incurred; a few airports and services differ.
  • Three classes of service, each available as a sedan, SUV or van.
  • Every international flight uses Terminal 2, about 600 m from Terminal 1, and the airport’s free shuttle links the two buildings every 10 minutes.

Price

What your quote depends on

Every journey is quoted on its own rather than sold from a price list, so the figure you receive is for your booking. These are the things that move it. Nothing is charged until you accept the quote. Tolls, where they apply, are either included in it or shown in it as an additional charge, and heavy traffic does not change the quoted price.

North, centre, east or far south The airport sits well to the north of a city that spreads south, so Yelahanka is about 22 km from the terminals by road, MG Road about 35 km and Electronic City more than 50 km. Distance is one of the things the quote is based on, so send the building and street, not only the neighbourhood.
Small-hours landings Much of the Gulf traffic into Terminal 2 lands between midnight and dawn, long after the last train from the airport halt has gone. If a late-night charge applies to a pickup at that hour, it appears in the quote before you pay.
Party size and bags Whichever class you pick, the vehicle is a sedan, SUV or van chosen on the number of passengers, the bags and availability. A family returning from a job in the Gulf with cases and boxes to match may need a van rather than a sedan, and that changes the figure.
Sadahalli toll, holidays and last-minute requests The usual road in, NH 44, passes the Sadahalli toll plaza, and the expressway to Mysuru is tolled too. Where your route uses a toll, the quote either includes it or lists it as an additional charge; a public holiday or a last-minute request can also carry a charge, and you see that before paying too.

When you land

Arriving at Kempegowda, Terminal 2 or Terminal 1

International flights land at Terminal 2, where arrivals are on the ground level and departures on an upper level. Domestic flights by IndiGo and Akasa Air use Terminal 1, a short shuttle ride away. The steps below run from leaving the aircraft to the drive out of the airport, and they work the same way for a 3am landing from Dubai or Doha.

  1. 01

    Before you fly

If you hold a foreign passport or an OCI card, India’s e-Arrival card can be submitted up to 72 hours ahead, through the Bureau of Immigration website, indianvisaonline.gov.in or the Indian Visa Su-Swagatam app; the Bureau says it is for arrival information and is not a visa. Give us your flight number and the terminal on your ticket when you ask for a quote, so the flight can be tracked.

  2. 02

    Immigration at Terminal 2

Bengaluru is one of the airports with e-gates for the Fast Track Immigration–Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP), open to Indian nationals and OCI cardholders who have enrolled and given their biometrics in advance. Everyone else uses the staffed immigration counters.

  3. 03

    Baggage reclaim and customs

The airport’s own FAQ puts the average wait at the international belts at under 40 minutes, and customs comes after that, so on a busy night the included 30 minutes can run short. Still at the carousel as that time runs down? Message the booking desk on WhatsApp, which is staffed 24/7; you are told about any charge for extra waiting before it is applied.

  4. 04

    Meeting your chauffeur

Before pickup you receive the chauffeur’s name and contact details, by WhatsApp or by email, and the booking desk confirms where to meet. A Bureau of Civil Aviation Security directive keeps visitors out of the terminal, so nobody can meet you at the belt: a standard pickup is at the kerb, and Meet and greet adds a name board in arrivals and is included with every First Class booking. The Terms count a booking as a no-show when you are not at the meeting point within the waiting time and cannot be reached either.

  5. 05

    The road south

The exit road joins NH 44, Ballari Road, at the airport’s trumpet flyover, and the highway runs south past the Sadahalli toll plaza and Yelahanka to the Hebbal flyover, where it crosses the Outer Ring Road. NHAI is building an underpass at Sadahalli junction, close to the toll plaza, so expect diversions there while the work lasts. For the east of the city, the Hennur–Bagalur road and Budigere Road are the other ways in, and neither goes through Hebbal.

Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Gulf night timetable

Terminal 2: international Every scheduled international arrival and departure has used Terminal 2 since 12 September 2023, the international flights of IndiGo and Akasa Air included. Air India, Air India Express, Star Air and Alliance Air run their domestic flights from here as well. Arrivals are on the ground level, and the terminal has its own car park at that level.
Terminal 1: domestic The original 2008 building, domestic only since international flights moved out. IndiGo and Akasa Air fly from here within India, but both airlines’ international flights use Terminal 2, so check the terminal on the ticket rather than going by the airline’s name.
Between the two terminals About 600 m apart. The free shuttle runs every 10 minutes and takes about 10 minutes, from the inner lane at Terminal 1 departures beside the Relay shop and from pick-up points P16 and P17 on the Terminal 2 arrivals kerb. From an international flight to a domestic one, you clear immigration and customs first; a bag drop just past customs at Terminal 2 takes bags for a connecting flight.
Overnight arrivals from the Gulf In early October 2026 the airport’s flight board showed a run of Gulf arrivals, from Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bahrain, Jeddah and Muscat, landing between about 1.45am and 5am, all into Terminal 2. Timetables change with the season, so go by your own flight. At that hour the pickup still follows the tracked flight, exactly as it would at noon.
Overnight departures to the Gulf Over the same nights, departures for Kuwait, Jeddah, Doha, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat and Bahrain were timetabled between about 1.20am and 5.45am. Your pickup time is worked back from the airline’s check-in cut-off, with room left for traffic on the way north. The included wait at a home or hotel is 15 minutes from the scheduled pickup time, so bring the bags down before the car is due.
Not BLR: HAL Airport Airlines left Bengaluru’s old airport, HAL, about 12 km south-east of the centre, in 2008. Hindustan Aeronautics now uses it for test flights alongside non-scheduled traffic such as VIP flights, so a ticket on a scheduled airline into Bengaluru means Kempegowda (BLR).

At Bengaluru the terminal follows the airline and, for IndiGo and Akasa Air, whether the flight is domestic or international. Check the terminal on your ticket or web check-in, look again a day or two before you travel, and tell the booking desk at once if it changes.

Bengaluru and beyond

Where you are going from Bangalore airport

Distances below are by road from the terminals, from OpenStreetMap routing in October 2026. Journey times are left out on purpose: the hour of the day, and the queue at Hebbal in particular, decide them. A run from the terminal to an address in Bengaluru is an arrival transfer; a long run such as the one to Mysuru is quoted as one point-to-point transfer, and so is a later trip between two towns.

Yelahanka, Hebbal and Manyata

The north of the city is the nearest part: Yelahanka New Town is about 22 km by road, the Hebbal flyover about 28 km and Manyata Tech Park about 29 to 30 km. For a day of meetings across the north, an hourly booking holds the car and chauffeur for you between stops.

MG Road, the CBD and Majestic

The centre is about 35 to 36 km away, either down NH 44 and over the Hebbal flyover or through Bagalur and Hennur. KSR Bengaluru railway station at Majestic is about 36 km. Give the full street address, since the CBD covers a wide area.

Indiranagar and Koramangala

Indiranagar is about 37 to 39 km from the terminals and Koramangala about 41 to 42 km. Both lie south-east of the centre, so the road taken from the airport depends on the exact address.

Whitefield and the eastern tech parks

Whitefield’s ITPL is about 39 to 40 km, and the shortest road runs east by Budigere Road and the Whitefield–Hoskote road instead of through the city. Roadworks on that route and on the Hennur–Bagalur road were still slowing traffic in 2026, reports said.

Electronic City

About 53 to 54 km, the longest run within the city on this list, because it lies on Hosur Road in the far south and every route crosses Bengaluru from end to end. Companies with staff flying in and out regularly can open a corporate account for those runs.

Mysuru, by the expressway

About 175 to 185 km, much of it on the Bengaluru–Mysuru expressway (NH 275), a 119 km access-controlled toll road. A car from the terminal straight to Mysuru is quoted as one point-to-point transfer, on distance and vehicle class; KSRTC’s Flybus coach also runs there from the airport.

BLR

Kempegowda International Airport (BLR)

Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) runs the airport, which opened near Devanahalli in May 2008, when the airlines moved out of HAL Airport in the city, and took the name of Kempe Gowda I, the founder of Bengaluru, in 2013. It handled 43.82 million passengers in 2025 and ended that year with flights to 34 international cities. Terminal 2, open to flights since January 2023, was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as a tribute to Bengaluru’s name as the Garden City.

Terminals Two, about 600 m apart on one campus. Terminal 2 takes every international flight, plus the domestic flights of Air India, Air India Express, Star Air and Alliance Air; Terminal 1 takes the other domestic flights, including IndiGo and Akasa Air. Put the terminal printed on your ticket in the quote request.

Questions

Bengaluru airport transfer questions

Which terminal will I arrive at in Bangalore?

Terminal 2 if you are flying in from abroad, whichever airline you are on. Within India it depends on the airline: Air India, Air India Express, Star Air and Alliance Air use Terminal 2, while IndiGo and Akasa Air domestic flights use Terminal 1. The terminal is printed on your ticket and your web check-in; include it in the quote request.

How far is Bangalore airport from the city centre?

About 35 km by road to MG Road, and further to the south and east: roughly 39 to 40 km to Whitefield and 53 to 54 km to Electronic City. The airport is near Devanahalli, well north of the city, and the main road in, NH 44, funnels traffic through the Hebbal flyover, so the time of day can matter as much as the distance.

How long does it take to get from Bangalore airport to the city?

It varies too much with the hour for one honest figure, which is why this page gives distances rather than times. Most traffic for the centre and the south comes down NH 44 to the Hebbal flyover, where queues build at busy times of day, and the underpass works at Sadahalli junction mean diversions near the airport while they last. For a flight out, the desk sets the pickup time from your check-in cut-off and adds a margin for traffic, so you do not have to guess it yourself.

How much is a taxi from Bangalore airport to the city?

There is no single figure to give here, because it depends on where you are going, the vehicle and the hour. A pre-booked car is quoted on the distance to your address, the vehicle class, any add-ons and any late-night, public holiday or short-notice charge, with any toll on the route, such as the one at Sadahalli, either included or shown as an additional charge. Send your flight number with the request: the quote cannot be worked out without it. A slow crawl over the Hebbal flyover does not alter the quoted price, though waiting beyond the included time may carry a charge.

Can I get a taxi from Bangalore airport at night?

Yes. Many Gulf flights land at Terminal 2 in the small hours, and booking a car for one works the same as for a daytime flight, with any late-night charge shown in the quote before you pay. The airport also lists airport taxis and app-based cabs among the ways out of Terminal 2. The wait counts from the actual arrival, so a delay or an early landing moves it with the flight. If you are held up in the immigration queue or at the carousel, send the booking desk a WhatsApp; extra waiting beyond the included 30 minutes may be charged, and the desk explains any charge before applying it.

Is there a metro or train to Bangalore airport?

Not a metro yet. The Namma Metro Blue Line to the terminals is under construction, and in August 2026 its Hebbal to airport section was reported as planned for September 2027. Indian Railways runs a short list of trains between KSR Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cantonment or Yelahanka and an airport halt station, with a shuttle bus timed to meet them. The last train the airport lists back to the city leaves at 7.59pm, and the airport asks passengers to confirm times on the railway’s own enquiry site. BMTC’s Vayu Vajra buses run from Terminal 2 to many parts of the city; follow the bus signs once you are out. With heavy bags, children or a flight in the small hours, a pre-booked car is the simpler choice.

Is there a toll on the road to Bangalore airport?

On the main route, yes: NH 44 has a toll plaza at Sadahalli, between Yelahanka and the airport. When your route uses it, the toll is either included in the quote or shown in it as an additional charge before you pay, and it is not added afterwards. The Mysuru expressway is a toll road as well, handled the same way.

How do I get between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2?

Usually on the airport’s free shuttle, which runs every 10 minutes between the two buildings, about 600 m apart, with a ride of around 10 minutes. Coming off an international flight onto a domestic one, you clear immigration and customs at Terminal 2 first, and the airport has a bag drop just past customs for connecting bags. A booked car makes sense with a lot of luggage, small children or very little time: ask for a terminal-to-terminal transfer and send both flight numbers.

Can I book a car from Bangalore airport to Mysuru?

Yes. Mysuru is about 175 to 185 km from the terminals, much of it on the NH 275 expressway, and the whole drive is quoted as one point-to-point transfer, with the expressway toll either included or shown in the quote as an additional charge. With several cases on a drive of that length, ask for an SUV or a van, which any class can come as. A trip on from Mysuru, to Madikeri for example, is a separate point-to-point booking.

How do I book and pay, and what if my plans change?

Send the request form with your flight number, the terminal on your ticket, the full address and the number of bags. You pay nothing until you accept the quote, which usually comes within two hours; payment is by secure payment link or bank transfer, and once the payment arrives the booking is confirmed and the voucher shared. Under the standard policy you have until 48 hours before the flight to change or cancel, with any costs already incurred deducted; after that the full charge applies, and some airports and services follow different terms.

Waiting time, changes, cancellations and refunds are set out in full in our Terms & Conditions.
