About 230 km by the expressway. A room within easy reach of the Eastern or Western Gate makes a visit at opening time far simpler.

A private car from Indira Gandhi International (DEL) to your hotel or home in Agra, with your flight tracked, your chauffeur named before pickup and a full quote before you pay.
Nothing is charged until you accept the quote.
At a glance
Agra is about 230 km from Delhi’s Terminal 3 by the Yamuna Expressway, and the first 55 km or so are spent crossing south Delhi and Noida to reach the start of the expressway in Greater Noida. Universal Airport Transfer quotes the whole run as a single transfer, priced on the route and your Agra address, with the flight tracked and a full quote before you pay. One thing to plan around: the Taj Mahal is closed to general visitors every Friday.
Price
Every journey is quoted on its own rather than sold from a price list, so the figure you receive is for your booking. These are the things that move it. Nothing is charged until you accept the quote. Tolls, where they apply, are either included in it or shown in it as an additional charge, and heavy traffic does not change the quoted price.
The journey
What happens between your flight reaching Delhi and the car stopping at your Agra address, in the order you meet it.
Put your flight number in the request. The quote needs it, and it lets the flight be tracked, so the pickup follows its actual arrival time. Foreign nationals and OCI cardholders can file India’s e-Arrival card online within 72 hours before they arrive; the Bureau of Immigration’s website explains how.
After immigration, the baggage hall and customs, you walk out on to the arrivals level, the lower of T3’s two. Before pickup, your chauffeur’s name and number come to you on WhatsApp or by email, and the desk says where to meet: at the kerb as standard, or inside arrivals with a name board if you add Meet and greet, which comes with every First Class booking. Immigration and the baggage hall count against the 30 minutes of waiting, which start at your flight’s actual arrival time.
A common way out is the Mehrauli–Badarpur Road towards Okhla, then the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway to Zero Point in Greater Noida, where the Yamuna Expressway begins, about 55 km from T3. This part is city driving, and its pace depends on the time of day.
Six lanes and access-controlled, the expressway covers about 165 km between Greater Noida and the outskirts of Agra, and has been open since 2012. It passes Jewar, where Noida International Airport now stands. The limit for cars is 100 km/h, lowered to 75 km/h in recent winters between mid-December and mid-February because of fog.
The expressway ends at Kuberpur, and city roads take you on to your hotel or home. Heading for the Taj Mahal first? Petrol and diesel cars may not go within 500 m of it, so the drop-off is normally one of its parking areas, such as Shilpgram by the Eastern Gate or the Western Gate parking, where battery buses and golf carts carry visitors on.
Give the full Agra address when you ask for a quote, and say if your first stop is the Taj Mahal rather than a hotel. Hoping to see the Taj at sunrise? Its gates open 30 minutes before the sun comes up, which usually means a night in Agra before the visit.
In and around Agra
Road distances from Terminal 3, measured by map routing on 1 October 2026. The drive from the airport to any of these is quoted as a single transfer; a later run, once you are in Agra, is a booking of its own.
About 230 km by the expressway. A room within easy reach of the Eastern or Western Gate makes a visit at opening time far simpler.
About 234 km. Agra Cantt is the city’s main railway station, west of the Taj, which makes it a handy base for a trip that carries on by train.
Both are about 150 km from T3 by NH-44 through Faridabad and Palwal, and an address there is quoted as a single transfer in its own right.
The Mughal city lies 36 to 40 km west of Agra on NH-21 and is open every day. From an Agra base it suits a car held by the hour, with a 2-hour minimum and an additional charge for travel outside the booked city.
About 240 km from Agra on NH-21, a road that passes within a couple of kilometres of Fatehpur Sikri. It is a point-to-point run with a quote of its own.
For the flight out, a single transfer from your Agra hotel to the terminal, timed back from check-in with room for traffic and the drop-off. The chauffeur’s 15 minutes of waiting at your hotel count from the scheduled pickup time.
DEL
The airport is at Palam, in the south-west of Delhi, while Agra lies to the south-east, so a run to Agra starts by crossing the southern half of the city. Arriving from abroad, you clear immigration and customs at Terminal 3; on a domestic flight you may land at T1, T2 or T3, with no immigration to pass.
Terminals Three terminals. Every international flight arrives at T3, which also takes some domestic flights; T1 and T2 are domestic only. With the request, include the flight number and the terminal shown on your booking.

Questions
About 230 km from Terminal 3 to the Taj Mahal and central Agra by the Yamuna Expressway: some 55 km across south Delhi and Noida to its start in Greater Noida, then 165 km of expressway and a short run into the city. NH-44, which goes through Faridabad, Palwal and Mathura, comes to about 215 km.
Commonly about four to five hours, which is how the Agra district administration describes the trip from Delhi, depending on traffic and the time of day. Winter fog can slow the expressway too, and heavy traffic does not change the quoted price.
No. It is closed to general visitors every Friday, and the mosque inside opens only for Friday prayers. On the other six days it opens 30 minutes before sunrise and closes 30 minutes before sunset. If you land on a Thursday evening or a Friday, start with Agra Fort, which opens every day.
Yes, on any day but Friday, if you reach Agra with time to spare: the Taj closes 30 minutes before sunset, and its official site says the ticket windows shut 45 minutes before sunset and directs visitors to buy tickets online. Petrol and diesel cars are kept 500 m from the monument, so you leave the car at a parking area and go on by battery bus or golf cart. Visitors must carry identity proof issued by a government, such as a passport. The official site lists cloak rooms at both gates, but with suitcases the hotel first is simpler; if the car is to wait while you visit, add an Extra stop and say so in the request, and any waiting charge is made clear before it applies.
The expressway is a toll road. Whatever tolls your route meets are either part of the quote or itemised in it as an additional charge, and you see them before paying.
Yes, quoted as a single transfer to the airport. Send the flight number and your Agra address, and the pickup is timed back from your check-in, allowing for the expressway, the city traffic and the drop-off at the terminal. Every international departure from Delhi leaves from T3.
Not straight from the terminal. Trains for Agra Cantt leave from Delhi’s city stations, among them New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin; the Airport Express metro line runs from Terminal 3 to New Delhi railway station, and from there you wait for a train with your bags. The intercity buses the airport lists from its Public Transportation Centre go to Punjab and Haryana, not Agra, and buses from Delhi arrive at Agra’s Idgah Bus Stand or its ISBT, about 8 km and 12 km from the Taj. A car from the terminal goes straight to your Agra address, which counts for most with luggage, children or a late arrival.
About 145 km by road to the Taj Mahal, by the Yamuna Expressway. Noida International (DXN) is not Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International but a different airport, at Jewar on the Agra side of Delhi. Tell the desk which airport is on your ticket, and the quote is made from the right one.
There is no published fare: each journey is quoted on its own, on distance, vehicle class, add-ons and any late-night, public holiday or short-notice charges. Send the flight number, which the quote needs, and the full Agra address; a quote usually follows within two hours, and you pay nothing before you accept it.
Waiting time, changes, cancellations and refunds are set out in full in our Terms & Conditions.
